Friday Finding Idea: Car Door Magnet

I know pass-along cards (business cards with your adoption info on it) have already been featured as a great way to spread the word about adoption, so I will not write much on them. But I do want to say that pass-along cards are great! Since we ordered pass-along cards I keep getting these emails from the company saying, “Here is a bunch of free stuff you can get if you place an order” and sometimes there are even deals where we can get free stuff (up to ten separate items) and free shipping if our order is $30 or more. When that offer comes see how your supply of pass-along cards is doing. Maybe it is time to order another 1,000 cards or so to replenish the supply and while you’re getting more cards (which is a good thing to do) you can experiment with a bunch of the free items. This week will kick-off some of my (Andrew) Fun, Frugal and even Fantastic Finding Friday Ideas. More ideas will be posted later.

So you have seen cars or trucks drive by with their business logo and contact info on a car door magnet. Anyway, with adoption we have to market ourselves and our blog or profile to get the word out to people. When we ordered our car magnet at first I thought it would be embarrassing to be driving around with this stuck to our car door and at first maybe I kind of was. BUT after having it on there for a while it has just become part of the car and we like it there. Especially when we are filling up with gas or at the stop light and you know the person next to you is reading it! There is one more person that found out that Andrew and Brianna are hoping to adopt and that we have a blog all about us and adoption and I didn’t even have to talk to them or bring it up in conversation! I am all about low maintenance ways of spreading the word around! We liked the magnet so much that we ordered another one (free) for the other side of the car! For another fun twist you can loan these to people that are taking a road trip to get some more advertising!

*NOTE: if you don’t have a blog-start one. If you don’t want to start one, use your email address or somehow fit your LDS Family Services profile info there.
